My
small and select kennel has been operating since 1967. We had a
break from showing and breeding in the late 80's through to the 90's.
Our last Samoyed, Krissy, left us in 1995. The following year a
small Border Collie by the name of Dougal became a member of the family and he filled this great
emptiness with his adoring and intelligent ways until 2006. However,
I knew I had to have another Samoyed and in the year 2000 a gorgeous
English/Australian "pupsicle" called Katie, joined me to re-establish my
kennel (they were called pupsicles as they were born from frozen semen,
this litter being the first in the world from a UK based sire).
I had bred some beautiful and very successful Samoyeds prior to Kate's
arrival and the Silvertips name was well known, admired and respected.
For a journey into that time, please go to the "memories"
(a link is also below).
After living in Auckland for 30 years and then 10 more years on the
beautiful Coromandel Coast at Matarangi Beach, we made a move in July 2005
to an exciting, very English town called Cambridge. Cambridge is
famous for its horse breeding and Olympic canoeists. It is a
stunningly beautiful place with 100-year-old oak trees throughout the
town, Cherry trees and Camellias, Tulip trees, Azaleas, Magnolia and
Rhododendrons, the cool frosty winters are ideal for these stunning
beauties.
It is wonderful to be back again in civilisation and so close to family
and friends, the dog shows and the shopping, which we have missed.
We love it.
